What won the race: Going under Johnny Broking on the 13th lap, track champion Skeeter Estey of Kelly Lake, Minn., fought off repeated challenges from a high-running Broking the rest of Saturday's 40-lap Labor Day Shootout finale for his first career Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series victory. The pole-starting Estey took the checkers 0.626 of a second ahead of Broking to earn $3,000.

Quotable: "We've been great here all year, so it would have been a little disappointing not to get one of these things. So I'm glad I got it done," Estey said. "(Broking) got out front at the beginning and I was pacing him pretty good, and then I felt (the track) start to latch up on the bottom and luckily I got in front of him there. And then at the end I knew he was out there. I was just trying to take up all the rubber so he didn't have much of it left and it worked out for us."

Key notes: Skeeter Estey won his eighth Late Model feature of the season and his second Hibbing special, adding to a July 18 WISSOTA Late Model victory, also worth $3,000. ...
