What won the race: Inheriting the lead when Wil Herrington retired with a broken left-front upper control arm under a lap-29 caution, seventh-starting Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., led the final 12 laps of Friday's inaugural Robin Wynn Memorial at Cochran Motor Speedway. Clanton crossed the line 5.366 seconds ahead of Austin Horton to claim the $5,121 payday and his 15th career Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series triumph.

This race track, this facility, it was rough there in qualifying, but it widened out enough where you could do some slide jobs,” Clanton said. “I was just biding my time there, I was waiting to get into lapped traffic hard and heavy with Wil (Herrington). He had a good car and drove a smart race there, just trying to make the right moves at the right time. Overall, a good night though.”
