Searing sailed to the $3,000 payday, taking the checkers 1.244 seconds ahead of 10th-starting Kevin Burdick for his first Challenge Series win of the season and 11th of his career.

Quotable: “It was kind of weird over there (in turns one and two) because when I was in lapped traffic, I tried the bottom and I felt pretty good down there, but the top you could lean on so hard going into the middle and just had to coast off,” Searing said. “It was starting to get up there. I heard my spoiler scraping a couple times and I was trying not to wipe that thing off."
