What won the race: Inheriting the $5,000 payday after apparent winner Chandler Petty was docked four finishing positions for a postrace deck height violation, second-starting Scott Crigler of Alton, Mo., inherited his first Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory of the season and third of his career. Petty, who fought off multiple challenges from Crigler and appeared to lead all 30 laps, was credited with fifth in the final rundown.
Key notes: Petty and Crigler survived a last-lap scare when Morgan Bagley slowed abruptly in front of them entering turn three, with Petty appearing to win by 2.071 seconds; Petty was stripped of his first career Comp Cams victory after failing droop check in postrace tech inspection, which lasted several minutes after the checkered flag. ... Crigler was credited with his third career series victory, his first since July 19, 2025, and first away from Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Ark. ... Seventh-starting Brian Rickman nearly stole what would've been the win from Crigler, finishing just 0.024 of a second back at the line after Crigler was held up by Bagley in the final set of turns. ... Billy Moyer Jr. and Billy Moyer were each moved up in the final rundown, placing third and fourth. ... Teenager Tyler Kuykendall gained five spots and placed sixth. ... The race was slowed three times, lastly on a lap-nine restart attempt when Kyle Beard and points leader Cade Dillard tangled while battling for third and spun, collecting Bagley and Shane Stephens; Beard rallied to finish 11th while Dillard settled for 15th, the final starter to complete 30 laps. ... The initial lap-nine caution was for Chance Mann slowing down the backstretch, then retiring. ... Timothy Culp slowed abruptly and pulled into the infield on the opening lap for the first stoppage; he failed to complete a lap along with Ryan Johnson, who fought mechanical woes for much of the evening. ... The race lasted nearly 19 minutes with 18 starters running at the finish. ... The tour's Natural State doubleheader concludes with Saturday's $5,000-to-win return to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.
On the move: Cam Harris of Columbus, Miss., started 17th and finished 10th.
