What won the race: Executing a textbook turn-three slide job by race-long leader Bo Slay on the 26th lap, second-starting Dillon Tidmore of Gadsden, Ala., repelled a late surge by Jason Milam and controlled the remainder of Saturday's 40-lap inaugural Eddie Alexander Memorial at Pine Ridge Speedway. Tidmore beat Milam by 0.596 of a second for the $4,000 victory, his first on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series.
Key notes: Tidmore led the final 15 laps for his first feature win of any kind since last May 17 at Tuscumbia's North Alabama Speedway, worth $5,000 on the Southern All Stars. ... MSCCS points leader Bo Slay, winner of the night's $1,000 604 Crate feature, led the opening 25 laps before giving way to Tidmore and fading to fifth in the final rundown. ... Ninth-starting Shane Stephens quickly advanced to second and appeared to be Tidmore's most viable challenger before retiring under a lap-33 caution; Stephens was credited with 12th. ... Fourteenth-starting Jason Milam inherited the runner-up spot on the lap-33 restart and hounded Tidmore over the final handful of laps, but couldn't find a way around. ... Evan Ellis, winner of Friday's $2,500 Eddie Alexander Memorial opener in unsanctioned competition, trailed Slay from laps 3-23 before eventually slipping as low as fourth, then passed Slay for third on lap 30. ... Brian Rickman finished fourth after spinning to avoid a lap-three tangle that eliminated Shay Miller and Daniel Miller (unrelated). ... Mark Dodson improved 10 positions to finish sixth. ... Besides the initial lap-three stoppage, the race was slowed by two other cautions: Lap 24 for Robert Ardry slowing in turn two and lap 33 when eighth-running Monte Skinner stopped in nearly the exact same spot; both drivers retired after their respective incidents. ... The event honored Alexander, a former Pine Ridge Speedway owner and operator, who died on Oct. 14, 2025, at the age of 76. ... The 40-lap feature lasted 28 minutes with eight starters completing the distance and 11 running at the checkers. ... Matt Cooper and Austin Storm both scratched after engine issues earlier in the evening.
On the move: Bobby Allen of Mason, Tenn., started 22nd and finished ninth.
