Justin Zeitner celebrates his third Tri-State Series win of the season.
What won the race: Third-starting Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, took control from early leader Jake Neal on the sixth lap and controlled the rest of Saturday's 30-lap Wheel Jam feature for a $4,000 victory on the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series. Zeitner beat Neal by 0.660 of a second for his 23rd career Tri-State Series win and third of the season.
Key notes: Zeitner led the final 25 laps for his third series victory of the season, adding to May 1's season opener at Park Jefferson (S.D.) Speedway and May 16 at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D., each worth $1,500. ... His 23rd career Tri-State victory extends his lead on the tour's all-time list. ... Second-starting Jake Neal led the opening five laps before giving way to Zeitner and settling for runner-up. ... Cody Overton climbed six positions and completed the podium finishers aboard a Scott Ward-owned No. 37 entry. ... Polesitter Josh Skorczewski, one night removed from losing a late-race battle at nearby Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D., faded to finish fourth. ... Cole Searing, winner of Friday's $3,000 weekend opener at Brown County, charged to finish fifth at his home track. ... Points leader Trevor Anderson improved 11 spots to register a top-10 result. ... The 30-lap feature lasted nearly 30 minutes with 16 starters running at the finish.
