Sanders finished 0.463 of a second ahead of Bryan Mullis for his first major event victory since Oct. 9, 2021's Ed Gibbons Memorial at Sumter (S.C.) Speedway, worth $5,007 in Carolina Clash Series action.
Key notes: Sanders controlled Saturday’s fourth annual Steve Heintz Memorial, leading from start to finish after earning fast qualifier honors and winning the dash in Friday's preliminary action. … Austin Yarbrough of Denver, N.C., who was slated to start ninth, was one of seven drivers who scratched from the 30-lap feature. … Defending event winner Kyle Hardy was one of the evening’s hard chargers, advancing 11 positions to finish seventh.
