Rick Eckert heads to his ninth career victory at Selinsgrove.
What won the race: Rick Eckert of York, Pa., led all 30 laps from the outside front-row at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, earning his first career feature win with the Renegades of Dirt Late Model Tour and $4,000. Eckert notched ninth career victory at the half-mile oval.
Key notes: Jeff Rine of Danville, Pa., followed Eckert into second place at the initial start and held that position the entire race, finishing 3.637 seconds back. ... Hometown driver Dylan Yoder made a charge in the late laps, moving up to third on lap 24. ... The lone Late Model repeat winner at Selinsgrove, Bryan Bernheisel of Jonestown, Pa., ran as high as third place before slipping to finish fourth. ... Polesitter Ryan Montgomery of Fairmont, W.Va., faded from the start and finished seventh. ... Andrew Yoder of Middleburg, Pa., started 15th and advanced seven positions, finishing eighth. ... Saturday's feature, the first time the Renegades of Dirt Late Model Tour has visited Selinsgrove, was slowed by one caution and lasted 14 minutes, with nine competitors completing 30 laps. ... Fifth-starting Coleby Frye got briefly sideways at the outset, collecting Jim Yoder, Brett Schadel, and Tyson Mowery.
