The Best Performance Motorsports team enjoys weekend win No. 3.
What won the race: Picking up his third win of the weekend, fast qualifier and polesitter Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, cruised to the $5,000 Ultimate Heart of America Series victory in the weekend finale on Sunday at Circle City Raceway. The victory by a half-straightaway over Devin Gilpin elevated Erb's weekend series earnings to $15,000.
Quotable: “This place has been good to me. I’ve been here twice and won twice, so I’m sure we’ll be back,” Erb said.
Key notes: Erb also won $5,000 features on the tour Friday at Circle City and Saturday at Shadyhille Speedway in Medaryville, Ind. …. Third=starting Joe Godsey ran second early but slipped back when he tried the high side. … Runner-up Devin Gilpin took the second spot from Spencer Hughes just past halfway with an inside pass exiting turn four. … Gilpin also finished second to Erb two days earlier.
