Well, it's World 100 week and the Dirt Late Model community is abuzz with Eldora talk. In that vein I thought I would take the time to take a look at the guys from my region that I think will be in contention come Saturday.

As always at Eldora Speedway, the draw for qualifying always plays a big role in making the show. The heat races are always tough. More times than not a bad draw will equate to a less than great qualifying effort, which will usually have you standing on the hill watching on MORE

The 40th annual World 100 seems to be all about numbers this year. Those numbers are 6, 100, 500 and a gazillion and center around drivers Billy Moyer, Scott Bloomquist, Josh Richards and Don O’Neal.

• For Moyer, he will race for a record sixth World 100 globe and is on an amazing hot streak this summer with his 20 victories so far season. Don’t forget, Moyer also won this year’s Dream at Eldora.

Aside from the obvious reasons to see the World 100 — tons of cars, quality of competition and more — one of the biggest reasons in recent years has been the uncertainty of just who was going to win.
