They say racing gets in your blood. I know it’s cliche, and I’m not really sure who “they” really are. But that’s what they say nonetheless. Sometimes I equate racing to an addiction. Once you get hooked, it’s hard to stop.

While driving down the road a few days ago, Luke Bryan’s song Rain is a Good Thing played on the radio and, of course, I found myself humming along. But about halfway through the song I recalled just how bad rain has plagued racing this year, and I was so disgusted by the thought that I quickly changed the station.

The rain beat upon the roof of Billy Moyer Motorsports, creating a gentle roar that made those inside the building raise their voices ever-so-slightly.
