Golden Isles Speedway

Event: Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing

Location: Waynesville, Ga. (13 miles west of I-95 on U.S. 82)

Dates: Feb. 4-6 (Thursday-Saturday)

Configuration: 4/10-mile clay oval

Super Late Model sanction: Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Other divisions: NeSmith Crate Late Models (Feb. 5-6); Limited Late Models (Feb. 3); NeSmith street stocks (Feb. 3); Southeast Dirt Modifieds (Feb. 4-6); Lucas Oil Southern State Midget Series (Feb. 4-6)

Schedule: Complete Lucas Oil programs with time trials, heats, consolations and features each night along with other divisions. Pit gates open at noon, grandstands at 3:30 p.m., drivers’ meeting at 4 p.m. and hot laps at 5 p.m. each day.

Tickets: $20 general admission, $5 for children 8-12 and children 7-and-under free ($40 pit passes Feb. 4-6; VIP tower $100 per night).

Notes: Open practice is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. Feb. 2 and local divisions are in action Feb. 3 highlighted by a $2,500-to-win event for the track’s Limited Late Model division. … While the track is in Waynesville, the track is commonly referred to as Brunswick. ... Eddie Carrier Jr., Earl Pearson Jr. and Jonathan Davenport won last year’s Lucas Oil events at Golden Isles. … The $15,000-to-win finale marks the richest Speedweeks event since Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla., posted a $20,000 winner’s purse in 2013. … The opening-night's Edwin Coggins Memorial, which honors a late acing supporter who died at the track in 2014, is a non-points event. … Fans can visit the Georgia Boot display booth to win prizes during the weekend. For Saturday’s finale, registered fans will be matched with the 24 starters with the fan linked to the race winner picking up $515 in cash and other prizes. … Promoter Darryl Courson and his crew have upgraded the track with 3,000 new seats and new concession stand along with upgraded fencing and lighting.

North Florida Speedway

Event: Winter Nationals

Location: Lake City, Fla. (just east of 41-441 on Race Track Lane)

Dates: Feb. 4-7 (Thursday-Sunday)

Configuration: 4/10-mile dirt oval

Super Late Model sanction: UMP DIRTcar (Sunday only)

Other divisions: UMP modifieds (Feb. 4 and 7), micro sprints (Feb. 5-6), E-mods (Feb. 5-6), thunder stocks (Feb. 5-7), box stocks (Feb. 4-6)

Schedule: On the fourth of four days of racing, Super Late Models run a complete program with pits opening at 10 a.m. and grandstands at 1 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 1 p.m. with racing at 2.

Tickets: Sunday tickets are $30 adult general admission, $12 for children; pit passes are $40 for adults, $20 for children (two-day discount tickets are also available).

Notes: The track is owned and operated by Phil and Elizabeth Guadagno. … The track is hosting a Super Late Model event at Speedweeks for the fourth straight year; Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., won twice while Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., captured last year’s event. … The track has averaged 15 Late Models per event. … The track has moved the program to earlier in the afternoon this season so racing can be completed before the evening’s Super Bowl. … The track’s first event was held in 1955. … Bo Allen won 2014’s Limited Late Model title at North Florida; the track didn’t have Late Model points last season.

Super Late Model sanction: Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Other divisions: None

Schedule: After 6-9 p.m. practice Feb. 7, complete programs other six nights with the drivers’ meeting at 5:15 p.m., hot laps at 6 and racing at 7. Time trials, heat races, consolation races, Strawberry Dash and features each night.

Tickets: $210 for six-day pass, a $10 savings; $35 general admission (Feb. 8-11) and $40 (Feb. 12-13); children 12-and-under free with paying adult.

Notes: Super Late Models are just part of the Winternationals that stretch from Jan. 28-Feb. 20 with a variety of dirt racing divisions at the track nicknamed The Clay by the Bay. … Billy Moyer is the all-time winningest Winternationals driver with 26 victories, leading Don O’Neal (14) and Steve Francis (10), but he’s not expected to compete this year while crew-chiefing for his son, Billy Moyer Jr. … Moyer won three of six races in 2015; other winners were Dennis Erb Jr., Josh Richards and Eddie Carrier Jr. … The first five events are available on pay-per-view via xsan.tv and the finale is set for Lucas Oil Racing TV.

Super Late Model sanction: World of Outlaws Late Model Series (Friday-Saturday)

Other divisions: Renegade 4, road warriors, pure stocks and super streets (the nearby Savannah River Dragway and Gamecock Speedway for go-karts will also be in action).

Schedule: Open practice 7 p.m. Thursday with gates opening at 5 p.m.; gates open at 3 p.m. Friday with hot laps at 6; gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday with hot laps at 6; complete World of Outlaws programs including time trials, heats, consolations and feature events on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets: $20 Thursday, $30 Friday and $40 Saturday for general admission; children 12-and-under free.

Notes: The track is celebrating its 20th season. ... Screven’s World of Outlaws action has been moved back one week for 2016, kicking off eight races over nine nights for WoO/DIRTcar competitors who head to Volusia Speedway Park the following week. … Come to the track hungry. Promoter Redd Griffin’s concession stand is more of a banquet hall with a wide variety of country cooking plates for sale. … The Renegade 4 division will compete for a possible $12,000-to-win with front-wheel drive competitors expected from all over the country for a 100-lap feature.

Notes: Ocala’s Speedweeks action includes a single day of Super Late Models but stretches from Jan. 28-Feb. 20 with a variety of other divisions, including Crate Late Models and All Star Circuit of Champions and USAC sprints. … The track co-owned by Bubba Clem, the famed Florida shock jock, abruptly switched to Lucas Oil Series sanctioning in December after four years hosting World of Outlaws events. … The track’s odd shape is tricky, especially for newcoming drivers, with a sweeping configuration from turns one through three before tighter turn-four exit.

Location: Barberville, Fla. (15 miles west of I-95 on State Route 40)

Dates: Feb. 15-20 (Monday-Saturday)

Configuration: Half-mile D-shaped clay oval

Super Late Model sanction: UMP DIRTcar Feb. (15-17) and World of Outlaws Late Model Series (Feb. 18-20)

Other divisions: UMP modifieds (Feb. 15-16), Super DIRTcar Series big-block modifieds (Feb. 17-20).

Schedule: Complete programs for all divisions each night. UMP programs include group time trials, six heats (three transfer), three consolation races (two transfer) and main event (heat winners redraw for starting spot). WoO programs include time trials, six staggered heats (three transfer), three consolations (two transfer) and main event (redraw for starting spots). Grandstands open at 5 p.m. daily with hot laps at 6 and racing at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $35 general admission and reserved (Monday-Tuesday), $18 for children 11-15; $39 general admission and reserved (Wednesday-Saturday), $20 for children 11-15; adult three-day passes for Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday are $100. Online purchase is available.
