Redeemed Hogge grabs $2,000 WCS victory
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 8) — Gaining redemption from a slipup earlier in the week, Bobby Hogge IV of Salinas, Calif., won Saturday’s C&D Bonding West Coast Late Model Shootout event at Bakersfield Speedway.
The sixth-starting Hogge pocketed $2,000 for his series-leading ninth career victory as he took the checkers ahead of pole-starting Nick Bartels of El Segundo, Calif. | Slideshow
Clay Daly of Watsonville, Calif., Wednesday’s winner at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, was third followed by Mike Kirby of Torrance, Calif., and Devin Crockett of Arroyo Grande, Calif.
Hogge was leading Wednesday’s feature in Las Vegas when he spun exiting turn four midway through the 25-lapper, handing the lead to Daly.
