Berck sweeps finale weekend as Dickes repeats

GREENWOOD, Neb. (Oct. 14) — Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., swept I-80 Speedway's Cornhusker Classic weekend on the Super Late Model Series, notching his 37th and 38th career victories on the Nebraska-based tour.

Both of Berck’s victories came Sunday after Saturday’s action was halted by rain and rescheduled for Sunday. He started sixth in the first race and seventh in the second for his series-leading seventh and eighth victories of the season.

Travis Dickes posted a pair of top-five finishes to wrap up his second straight SLMRS championship. Dickes finished the season 64 points ahead of Justin Zeitner of LaVista, Neb., and 90 points ahead of Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb.

Leighton scored a pair of runner-up finishes while Zeitner was sixth and third in the two features.
