HATTIESBURG, Miss. (May 14) — Polesitter David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., led all 50 laps for his second Mississippi State Championship Challenge victory of the season on Friday at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park. Breazeale earned $2,000 as the series visited the quarter-mile oval for the first time in six years.

Outside front-row starter Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., rebounded from a first-lap spin in turn two to finish second while fifth-starting Keith Miller of Sumrall, Miss., was third. Consolation race winner Joseph Joiner of Milton, Fla., and Steve Bryan of Collinsville, Miss., rounded out the top five.
