SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Nov. 28) — Hall of Famer Ken Essary of Cape Fair, Mo., outdueled protege Justin Wells of Aurora, Mo., for a $2,000 victory in Springfield Raceway’s Turkey Classic. Brad Looney of Republic, Mo., rallied to finish third in the unsanctioned Thanksgiving weekend special for Late Models. | Slideshow
Johnny Fennewald of Appleton City, Mo., was third and Matt Johnson of Archie, Mo., rounded out the top five in a race where 12 cars finished on the lead lap. The event drew 35 teams.
