Ogle overcomes Kerr, collects $4,000 at Boyd's
RINGGOLD, Ga. (May 22) — Front-row starter Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., outdueled Tommy Kerr of Maryville, Tenn., in the late stages at Boyd's Speedway for a $4,000 Tennessee Thunder DirtCar Series victory. Kerr finished second in the 50-lap Georgia Memorial with 20th-starting Robert Gant of Flat Rock, Ala., third in the caution-plagued event. | Slideshow
Ricky Arms of Moss, Tenn., gunning for his second straight series victory, ran among the leaders early before mechanical problems forced him out on the 10th lap and Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., was running third when a puff of smoke sent him out on the 12th lap.
