Notes: The 2022 Karl Kustoms Bristol Dirt Nationals marks the second year the XR-promoted event invades the high-banked, half-mile asphalt track in East Tennessee. … Super Late Models will compete in four $50,000-to-win events: Friday and Saturday, March 25-26 and Friday and Saturday, April 1-2. … Along with its $50,000-to-win nightly purse, the four events carry a gargantuan $300,000 points fund with the winner of the four-race miniseries (which is actually part of the larger XR Super Series) set to win $100,000. … The Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series will co-sanction the four events. … Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., won last year’s $50,000 Bristol Dirt Nationals finale, while Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly, N.C., won the $10,000 prelim feature. … Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga., won the first dirt race at Bristol in 2000. He earned $20,350. … Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, picked up a $25,000 World of Outlaws win at Bristol last season. … Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., is the only two-time Dirt Late Model winner at Bristol. The Hall-of-Famer won both a preliminary feature and the $25,000 headliner in 2001. ... Sport mods and hobby stocks (March 25); 602 Late Models, modifieds and stock cars (March 26); street stocks and factory stocks (April 1); and Crate Late Models, modifieds and hornets (April 2) are on the card also.
