Notes: This marks the inaugural WoO-sanctioned Quad Cities 150, a three-day extravaganza contested on the quarter-mile infield oval at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in the heart of the Quad Cities presented by Hoker Trucking. … Thursday and Friday programs, which both feature 40-lap, $10,000-to-win features, will be used to set the lineup for Saturday’s heat races for the weekend’s 70-lap finale. Drivers score points based on the WoO tour’s every lap matters format during qualifying, heats and features on Thursday and Friday and will use those points to set Saturday’s heat lineups. … Previous World of Outlaws winners at Davenport include Brian Birkhofer (2004), Brian Harris (2007), Chad Simpson (2018), Jimmy Owens (2019) and Brandon Sheppard, who won there three times in 2020, twice on the quarter-mile and once on the half-mile. … Sheppard, of New Berlin, Ill., has a series-high six wins on the season entering the weekend and is seeking career WoO win No. 76. … Davenport has been kind to Hawkeye State drivers with Muscatine’s Birkhofer outrunning Dale McDowell and Billy Moyer (an original Iowan himself) to win in ’04. … Walcott, Iowa’s Harris led all 50 laps, topping Jimmy Mars and Birkhofer for an upset win in ’07; and Mount Vernon’s Chad Simpson beat Chris Madden and brother Chris Simpson to the checkers in 2018. … … The three-day purse is $208,600. … The seven previous WoO races at Davenport have averaged 31.6 cars per event, with the high-water mark of 38 on May 29, 2020. … Modifieds and sport mods are also on the weekend card.
