What won the race: Complete a weekend sweep on the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series, seventh-starting Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., took command on the eighth lap Saturday at ArkLaTex Speedway and grabbed a $5,000 payday. Dillard, who won a night earlier at 67 Speedway of Texarkana (Ark.), notched his series-leading fifth victory and took the checkers 0.976 of a second ahead of fourth-starting Clay Stuckey in the nonstop 30-lapper.
Quotable: "I'll be honest, starting back here where we did, we weren't the best in that heat. We're playing with some stuff messed up and had to start a little further back in that feature," Dillard said. "I didn't anticipate being able to get up there and do it like we did ... That was a fun racetrack that you could move around and pass on."
Key notes: Cade Dillard notched his 12th series victory. ... He made a daring three-wide move in track with six laps remaining in keeping runner-up Clay Stuckey at bay. Stuckey closed in late amid traffic but couldn't find a way past. ... Stuckey, who plans to run the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, said he regretted losing momentum when trying to take the lead from Brandon Ball. ... Ball started third and led laps 2-7, but he faded to finish 13th. ... Hall of Famer Billy Moyer, who led only the first lap from the pole, was running the weekend with a new AK Race Car and settled for 11th. ... The race ran caution-free. ... Brett Frazier scratched from the feature lineup. ... The eight-minute feature concluded at 11:39 p.m. ... ... The event was the first tour race at ArkLaTex since April 1, 2022.
On the move: Winner Cade Dillard started seventh; Eli Ross of Muskogee, Okla., started 10th and finished fifth.
