What won the race: Marching through the field and overtaking race-long leader Rusty Schlenk on the 25th lap, 12th-starting Kyle Moore paced the final six circuits for a big hometown victory in Friday's Comeback Classic at Mansfield Speedway. Moore edged Schlenk by 0.394 of a second for the $5,000 payday, his first win of the season and third career on the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series.
Key notes: Moore scored his third career Iron-Man Series victory, all of them coming in his home state, adding to $5,000 wins on Aug. 10, 2024, at Wayne County Speedway and Aug. 29, 2025, at Attica Raceway Park. ... It's his first win of any kind since last Sept. 5 in local Super Late Models at Attica. ... Moore snaps a streak of three straight first-time series winners to start the season. ... Rusty Schlenk led the opening 24 laps from the pole before giving way to Moore and settling for second. ...
