What won the race: Executing a crossover move exiting turn four to take control from Garrett Smith on the 10th lap, Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., led the rest of Friday's 40-lap John Bradshaw Memorial at Ponderosa Speedway. Marlar beat Zack Mitchell by 3.880 seconds for the $7,553 payday, his eighth career Schaeffer's Spring Nationals victory and third overall win of the season.
Quotable: “It was a little hard on tires. I don’t know about Zack (Mitchell), but definitely on Garrett (Smith’s). He might’ve been having a problem when I got by him, but I’m not sure,” Marlar said. “It was fun racing with him while it lasted, ya know, until he had that flat (tire). There was definitely a lot going on there.”
