In the third heat, outside front-row starter Ryan Gustin became the initial heat winner of the week to win without starting on the pole. ... In the fourth heat, Ricky Thornton Jr. rallied in the low groove from his seventh spot for a victory in a prelim halted by a second-lap caution for Dennis Erb Jr., who spun and smacked the backstretch wall after tangling with Ethan Dotson. ...
