What won the race: Retaking the lead just before Skeeter Estey slowed with a flat right-rear tire on the 17th lap, second-starting Shane Sabraski of Rice, Minn., paced all but five circuits of Sunday's 51st annual Red Clay Classic for an $8,000 WISSOTA Late Model victory at ABC Raceway. Sabraski led twice for 45 laps (1-10, 16-50) and crossed the line 0.725 of a second ahead of Ashley Anderson for his second career Red Clay Classic Late Model triumph (2024).
Quotable: "Trying to get by some lappers there, the top was really good at the beginning and (Estey) got by me. He was trying to get by some lappers, I think, I was able to slip back by him when he was caught up behind some guys," Sabraski said, later adding that "I gotta give a hats off to all you guys. I never thought last night when we were standing in the rain, I never would’ve thought we’d be racing today, but you guys did an awesome job."

Reigning Red Clay Classic winner Kevin Eder retook third from Darrell Nelson on the 33rd lap with four-time Red Clay Classic champ Jake Redetzke taking fourth on lap 36, dropping Nelson to fifth. ... Besides the lap-17 and lap-32 cautions for Estey and Lillo's troubles, the yellow flew two other times, including on lap 35 when Adam Hensel slowed from eighth and retired. ... The final stoppage came on the ensuing restart when ninth-running Kyle Peterlin pounded the turn-two wall and pulled off. ... The 50-lap feature lasted 24 minutes with 15 starters completing the distance and 17 running at the checkers. ... More than 10 drivers, including A.J. Diemel and Travis Budisalovich, scratched after participating in Friday's prelims when Saturday's main event was rain-postponed to Sunday.
