Devin Gilpin drove Zak Blackwood's car to victory.
What won the race: Driving Zak Blackwood's No. 93, Devin Gilpin of Columbus, Ind., earned a dominant flag-to-flag victory in Saturday's 30-lap Slingin' Dirt Late Model Series feature at Brownstown Speedway. Gilpin beat Derek Groomer by 2.195 seconds for the $3,000 paycheck, his first career tour victory and first win of 2026.
Key notes: Gilpin grabbed his first win of any kind since Sept. 19, 2025, an Indiana Crate Late Model Series stop at Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind. ... It's his first Super Late Model victory since topping a local Brownstown field on Aug. 30, 2025, and his first major event since Aug. 24, 2024, at Paragon (Ind.) Speedway. ... Gilpin now has 25 Brownstown feature wins since May 2021. ... Derek Groomer, winner of April's Slingin' Dirt season opener at Brownstown, took second from Tyler Neal on lap 17, but never seriously threatened Gilpin's advantage over the race's second half. ... Tyler Collins slipped by Neal for third on lap 19 with Matt Boknecht taking fourth on lap 23, dropping Neal to fifth. ... The 30-lapper was slowed once on lap nine when 11th-running Shelby Miles retired. ... The feature lasted 10 minutes with 10 starters completing the distance and 18 running at the checkers.
