What won the race: Second-starting Bo Slay of Milton, Fla., led the final 15 laps to win Saturday's Mississippi Championship Challenge Series weekend finale at Super Bee Speedway. Slay beat Randall Beckwith for a $4,000 payday, his second MSCCS feature victory in as many nights and a sweep of the weekend in Super Late Model action.
Key notes: Slay secured his second career MSCCS victory in as many nights, adding to a couple of SAS wins in previous years at his hometown Southern Raceway. ... Jon Mitchell led 18 of the opening 25 laps (1, 9-25) before retiring on the 26th lap and handing the lead to Slay; Mitchell was credited with seventh. ... Randall Beckwith led laps 2-8 before relinquishing control to Mitchell, but maintained the runner up spot after Mitchell retired on lap 26. ... Chris Wall retired from fifth on the 27th lap, leaving just five starters to complete the 40-lap affair. ... The race lasted 25 minutes. ... Friday's runner up Charlie Cole scratched after time trials.
