Willie Milliken waves after his $12,000 victory at Lake View.
What won the race: Rallying from his 12th starting spot to overtake polesitter Ben Watkins on the 23rd lap, Willie Milliken of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., fought off Watkins the rest of the way for a $12,000 Edwards Family Memorial victory at Lake View Motor Speedway. Milliken took the checkers 1.123 seconds ahead of Gray Parton in the caution-pleagued 50-lapper for his first Coltman Farms Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory in three seasons. Watkins, who wrapped his fourth series title and second in a row, ran second most of the way but spun in turn four with two laps remaining.
Quotable: "I wanna thank the fans and I wanna thank the good Lord first, but this is (for) my whole family. We got it." Milliken said, later adding that "I didn't know we were gonna get up front because I made such an ass out of myself in qualifying, but it was digging."
