Dirt Track in a race that also honored Jim Letizia. ... Jake Timm, who started 13th, ran as high as third before fading and retiring after 37 laps. ... Polesitter Troy Springborn finished fifth. ... A single caution slowed the action when Todd Frank spun exiting turn two. ..... The 16-minute feature concluded at 10:42 p.m. ... Thirteen of 22 starters completed 48 laps. ... The event honored the life and legacy of “Diamond” Jim Letizia for his 40 years in racing, many of which spent behind the wheel of the familiar No. D7 Dirt Late Model. Letizia also had a large presence as a local businessman, owning Diamond Jim’s Motorcars auto sales and Diamond Jim’s Steakhouse. ... Dirt Kings competitors are slated to return to 141 on Sept. 19 for a $1,500-to-win program.
On the move: Nick Anvelink of Bonduel, Wis., started 15th and finished fourth.
