Moyer, starting outside the front row and leading 10 laps, was runner-up for the second consecutive night of the Steve Rushin Memorial weekend, finishing 0.914 of a second behind while Saturday's winner Terry Phillips finished third.
Quotable: "I could get around the bottom pretty good. I figured (Moyer) was rolling the middle and after I got around him, I really didn't know where to go, honestly," Beard said. "I just kind of stuck with the bottom where I got around him to start with."
