Steel-block bonuses posted for DTWC
The best three performing drivers utilizing steel-block engines at Carl Short’s 46th annual ARP Dirt Track World Championship this weekend will receive cash bonuses of $1,000, $500 and $250 for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells.
The open-competition engine national tour and Short are offering the bonus for the Saturday-Sunday event that was pushed back a day by inclement weather. (Thursday’s Burlile Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series event for steel-block entries was postponed to Oct. 24.)
The bonuses go to the best three finishing drivers with a steel-block powerplant. If none of them make the 100-lap feature, the best performing drivers in consolation races will be awarded.
Steel-block entrants must meet Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rules to compete.
