I-5 tour finale boosted to $5,000-to-win
The I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series received a big purse boost for the holiday weekend’s season-ending action at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Ore., with Sunday’s finale paying $5,000-to-win.
Series supporter Michael Richardson added $5,500 to the purse with $25 apiece for drivers finishing 11th-20th on Saturday and a revised purse for Sunday paying $5,000-to-win, $1,900 for second, $1,400 for third and $300-to-start. The standard series purse is $2,000-to-win.
Joey Tanner of Portland, Ore., leads the tour with 918 points heading into the weekend followed by brothers Ian Whisler (860) and Eston Whisler (856).
