Flo tour's LaSalle opener rained out
FloRacing Night in America’s 2026 season opener scheduled for Tuesday at La Salle Speedway has been postponed due to severe overnight thunderstorms and an unfavorable afternoon forecast, series officials announced.
“We got a heavy rain yesterday evening, but the bigger problem is that rain redeveloped overnight and this morning, and there’s just not enough drying to overcome it," La Salle promoter Tony Izzo said. “It’s part of the game, but it just stinks because we were really excited to get the year started. You obviously can’t control the weather though.”
The $20,000-to-win event was later rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The FloRacing-backed miniseries now begins Wednesday at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Ill., as part of Illinois Speedweek, which continues Thursday at Lincoln Speedway. Both races pay $20,000-to-win and $1,000-to-start.
