191 event honoring Deanna Noble
May 23’s Slingin’ Dirt Late Model Series event at 191 Speedway has tabbed the Deanna Noble Memorial to honor the former Late Model racer. An unnamed sponsor has boosted the race purse to $5,000-to-win with the track seeking additional purse sponsors. The purse was originally $3,000-to-win.
“She raced at 191 and her family was always a pleasure to be around,” the track posted about Noble, who died April 22 in a three-vehicle automobile accident in Watts, Ky. “She will be surely missed.”
According to Kentucky State Police, Noble’s car was struck head-on and then pushed into the path of a third vehicle.
The Ned, Ky., resident, the daughter of Breathitt County Judge-Executive Jeff Noble, was 30. She worked as a correction officer at Lee Adjustment Center. Besides her father, she’s survived by her mother Brenda and her fiancé, Jacob Harris.
