Golden Mountain Speedway in Sparta, Tenn., cancelled its May 15 Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series race, the track announced and the series confirmed.

The race, one of four events scheduled at the track in 2026, was removed from the schedule to avoid a conflict with the local White County High School graduation. Several track workers have family connections to graduates and the track anticipated the ceremony would reduce the number of competitors and spectators.

The Southern All Stars, scheduled for May 1-2 events at Winfield’s West Alabama Speedway and Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Ala., still have a mid-May race on tap with May 16’s event at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn.
