The American All-Star Series presented by PPM Racing Products has landed a title sponsor from a Bowling Green, Ky.-based discount supermarket chain, the Crate Late Model tour announced.

The Save A Lot American All-Star Series now carries title sponsorship from the Houchens Food Group Stores that operates more than 400 retail, grocery and convenience stores, including Save A Lot stores in eight states.

“We have a lot of stores in towns close to the tracks the American All-Stars run at,” Steve Stollings, a Dirt Late Model racer and Houchens Food Group division manager told Outside Groove. “We’re trying to get more people into our stores and help the racers and help the series grow. It’s a win-win situation.”

The series, which has enjoyed Save A Lot sponsorship for two seasons, opens April 4 at 191 Speedway in Campton, Ky. Tyler Arrington of Honaker, Va., is the reigning series champ.
