Morey signs Coltman development deal
Coltman Farms Racing owner Brett Coltman announced today the addition of 17-year-old Luke Morey to his stable of drivers.
Morey, originally from Zeeland, Mich., but now residing in Mooresville, N.C., has signed a development contract with Coltman. He will focus on regional competition in the Southeast beginning with his 2026 debut in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series-sanctioned action at Georgia’s Needmore Speedway (Jan. 30-31) and Swainsboro Raceway (Feb. 2-3).
When Morey is not behind the wheel of a Coltman Farms Racing Longhorn, he will travel with Coltman Farms’ national touring team and driver Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., as a crew member to gain additional experience.
“It means the world to me to be a Coltman Farms Racing development driver,” Morey said. “Seeing everything Brett has done for the sport is incredible. He’s helping take Dirt Late Model racing to the next level. To have his support and belief in me is something I’m extremely grateful for and it motivates me to work even harder to represent the team the right way.”
Joining Coltman Farms Racing extends the partnership between both parties. Coltman first sponsored Morey in 2024 as he began competing in Dirt Late Models.
“I’ve gotten to watch Luke grow as both a racer and a man for the last year,” Coltman said. “He’s wise beyond his years and embodies everything we at Coltman Farms Racing want in our drivers. We’re thrilled to have him as part of our team and I’m looking forward to watching him develop into a championship-caliber driver in the years to come.”
