Hagerstown-Bedford double brewing
With Bedford (Pa.) Speedway’s season opener shifting to Sunday evening because of forecasts for Friday rain, the fairgrounds oval is working with Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway and its Sunday afternoon event for discounts on competitors and fans attending both programs.
Any Limited Late Model driver that competes at Hagerstown will receive free admission to Bedford’s event. Likewise, any driver that competes at Bedford will receive free admission to Hagerstown’s April 19 event. Bedford will do its best to accommodate competitors coming from Hagerstown.
For spectators, Hagerstown ticket-holders receive a $4 discount off Bedford's $14 general admission ticket. On April 19, Hagerstown will provide a $4 discount to Bedford ticket-holders.
The tracks are separated by 63 miles. Hagerstown’s event is scheduled to start with 2 p.m. hot laps while Bedford’s hot laps are scheduled for 5 p.m. with racing at 5:30.
