Sponsors and supporters have helped increase the purse of Wednesday’s Ron Gustaf Tribute to $2,000-to-win for the IMCA Late Model special at East Moline (Ill.) Speedway.

The Rock Island County Fair Race’s purse was boosted by support from Todd Malmstrom, Dynamic Power Racing Technology, Jeremy and Stacy Gustaf, Steve and Carrie Gustaf, Eriksen Chevrolet, Kay Farms and Dobbels Trucking. Dynamic Power will also cover pit passes for half the Late Model competitors.

The race honors the Monmouth, Ill., engine builder and dirt racer who died Feb. 19 from a rare neurological disease. He was 74.
