Because of limited tire inventories heading into the Schaeffer's Southern Nationals, the series has instituted an amended tire rule limiting teams to five tires per night, officials announced.

The 12-race, 12-track series promoted by Ray Cook opens Friday, July 16, at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park continues at tracks in five states overall, concluding with July 31's $10,053-to-win event at Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway.

Teams must use American Racer 48 or Hoosier 1350 on the front wheels and left-rear wheel. For the right-rear, teams have the option of American Racer 48/56 or Hoosier 1350/1600.
