Four east Tennessee dirt track owners today announced plans to suspend operations for at least 30 days amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Mitch McCarter of Seymour's 411 Motor Speedway, Roger Sellers of Maryville's Smoky Mountain Speedway, Gary Hall of Tazewell Speedway and Landon Stallard of Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap said they'd monitor limitations on large gatherings in coordination with government and public health officials.

The tracks tentatively plan to remain dark through April 16 with the exception of Tazewell's $21,000-to-win Bill Corum Memorial on the Schaeffer's Spring Nationals scheduled for April 11. A decision whether to run the Tazewell event will be made April 1.

The tracks will consider makeup dates for national and regional touring series events. The April 3 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at 411 has already been shifted to June 26.
