Arthur claims Bandits win at Natural Bridge

NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (Sept. 27) — Former series champion Walker Arthur of Forest, Va., claimed his second Steel Block Bandits victory of the season Friday night at Natural Bridge Speedway, earning $1,500 in the penultimate event for the Limited Late Model tour’s 2013 season.

The second-starting Walker, who claimed back-to-back series titles in 2010-2011, was followed at the finish by Larry Ramsey of Lexington, Va., and Greg Roberson of Waynesboro, Va. Justin Williams of Shipman, Va., and Gene Knaub of Dover, Pa., rounded out the top five. Series points leader Andy Fries of Mercersburg, Pa., was sixth.

The Steel Block Bandits wraps up its 2013 tour with Saturday’s $1,500-to-win event at Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Va. Looking to claim his second straight series title, Fries held a 43-point lead over Knaub entering the season-ending doubleheader weekend.
