WEST UNION, Iowa (June 2) — Reigning series champion Chad Simpson of Mount Vernon, Iowa, dominated Thursday's Dart Corn Belt Clash checkered flag at Fayette County Speedway for his second series victory of the season.

Simpson quickly pulled away from polesitter Tim Isenberg of Marshfield, Wis., and outside front-row starter Kurt Kile of Nichols, Iowa, who ended up second and third. Iowans Jake Meier of Tipton and Jason Utter of Columbus Junction rounded out the top five finishers at the 3/8-mile oval.

Simpson captured the series opener Sunday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., then finished second to younger brother Chris on Wednesday at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton. The series wraps up a three-race stretch Friday at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis.
