MADISON, Minn. (July 7) — Younger brother outran older brother Wednesday at Deer Creek Speedway as polesitter Marshall Fegers of Mound, Minn., raced to a flag-to-flag victory on the Dart Challenge Series at Madison Speedway. The winner earned $2,000 for his second straight series victory at Madison as the WISSOTA-sanctioned tour opened a three-night stretch of racing. | Slideshow

Justin Fegers, 30, of Minnetonka, Minn., started third and chased Marshall to the finish at the 3/8-mile black gumbo clay oval. Seventh-starting Kyle Peterlin of Hibbing, Minn., was third and Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., finished fourth.

Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., who transferred to the main event through the consolation race, rallied from 20th to rounded out the top five, earning hard charger honors.

Series points leader Don Shaw of Ham Lake, Minn., was eighth.

Notes: The winning car is sponsored by Sunrays Tanning Centers. ... Marshall Fegers has three career Dart Challenge Series victories, including an ’09 win at Madison. ...
