What won the race: Second-starting Charlie McKenna of Ames, Iowa, led 30 laps largely unchallenged in winning Saturday's Ray Houck Memorial at Adams County Speedway. McKenna beat apparent runner-up Jake Neal to the checkers by 0.647 of a second for the $5,000 payday co-sanctioned between the Malvern Bank East and West tours and his first feature win of the season.

Quotable: “We went to Wisconsin last weekend and absolutely had our butts handed to us and that is a sobering, silent, long drive home once that happens,” McKenna said. “It’s just a lesson, you gotta go to work, we gotta tear this thing completely apart.
