Gregg Satterlee shows off his big paycheck at Bedford Speedway.
What won the race: Capitalizing on a lap-six restart, third-starting Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa., went past race-long leader Bryan Bernheisel on the backstretch Friday at Bedford Speedway en route to a Selinsgrove Ford Appalachian Mountain Speedweek victory worth $5,000. Satterlee cruised the rest of the way, taking the checkers 6.313 seconds ahead of Bernheisel.
Quotable: "It's really nice to be back up here on the stage of Bedford. This place has sort of eluded us," Satterlee said. "We had a really good year here (in 2025) and I crashed the car at the last race of the year and I haven't won since. ... We've just been searching for that balance like we used to have here and I definitely think we found it tonight."
Key notes: Satterlee, who notched his series-leading 13th career AMS victory, won at Bedford for the first time since the Milt Miller Tribute on July 1, 2022. ... He won his fifth overall feature of the season. ... Jeff Rine was running third but slowed on the final lap and failed to finish. ... Fourth-running Spike Moore retired under the lap-six caution. ... Trever Feathers was running sixth when he slowed and retired with fewer than 10 laps remaining. ... Five cautions slowed the 35-lapper, the first for a bad start (Satterlee had snagged the lead from third). ... On the second attempted start, Joe Petyak and tail-starting Drew Weisser ended up facing the wrong direction on the frontstretch. ... On the sixth lap, Danny Snyder got sideways entering turn three. ... Chad Homan slowed on the ninth lap; seven laps later, he smashed the turn-two wall. ... The 28-minute feature concluded at 9:59 p.m. p.m. ... The event was just the second of the week after Wednesday’s series event at Action Track USA in Kutztown, Pa., and Thursday’s race at Marion Center (Pa.) Raceway rained out. … The champion will receive $6,000 after the four-race miniseries concludes with a total points fund of nearly $30,000.
On the move: Shawn Shoemaker of Mount Union, Pa., started 10th and finished third.
