What won the race: Tanner English of Benton, Ky., commanded all 40 laps from the pole in winning Saturday's $6,000 Winterfest feature at Duck River Raceway Park. English crossed the line 0.688 of a second ahead of Dillard Hatchett for his second career Ultimate Heart of America Series victory and first on the Ultimate Southeast tour in the co-sanctioned event.
Key notes: English's first victory of the season marks his first win of any kind since last Oct. 25 at Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Motorsports Park, an unsanctioned event worth $4,514. ... It's his first Ultimate Heart of America, then known as Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass, victory since April 1, 2017, worth $3,000 at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway. ... Fourth-starting Dillard Hatchett grabbed second from Jadon Frame on a lap-34 restart and trailed English the final seven laps, but never truly challenged. ... Frame, who pursued English the opening 33 laps, settled for third. ... Ninth-starting Tucker Anderson inherited fourth when Josh Putnam retired on lap 32; Putnam was credited with 12th. ...
