Lux's tough weekend

Celebrate good times

When the racing season ends, many race fans turn their attention towards football. Whether it's NFL or college football, it doesn't seem to matter. Like most Americans we enjoy the exciting pass plays, runs, and bone-crunching hits of a football game. We also enjoy the celebrations of the players when they score a touchdown.

Is cheating required?

For as long as I can remember, drivers and race teams have cheated: Worked the gray areas, found a loophole in the rulebook, worked within the intent of the rule, worked over the rulebook — or whatever you want to call it. For me, I can't stand political correctness, so I simply call it cheating. Cars either race within the definition of the rules or not. And just to clarify, the type of cheating I am referring to is illegalities with the race car, not driving maneuvers.
