Event: Winter Freeze III
Location: Sylvania, Ga. (6 miles south of Sylvania on State Route 21)
Dates: Feb. 7-9 (Thursday-Saturday)
Configuration: 3/8-mile clay oval
Late Model sanction: World of Outlaws Late Model Series
Other divisions: Limited Late Models, 410 sprint cars and Florida Mini Sprints (also action at the go-kart track).
Schedule: 410 sprints and Florida Mini Sprints on Thursday (practice for both Late Model divisions); Florida Mini Sprints and complete programs for both Late Model divisions on Friday and Saturday.

Notes: The World of Outlaws action has been split into two complete events after Darrell Lanigan captured last year’s $20,000-to-win event. ... Screven’s WoO tire rule has been limited to four Hoosier compounds (LM10-40), which matches the traditional UMP DIRTcar rule as well as WoO events later in the month in Florida. ... It’s a change welcomed by drivers who had to haul tires used exclusively at Screven en route to Florida last year. ... Three-time NASCAR champ Tony Stewart won last year’s sprint car feature. ... The track has posted a $1,000 bonus each night if the race is won by a Crate engine-powered car, and $500 nightly to the highest-finishing Crate finisher. ... Screven’s concession stand is legendary with plate dinners with ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, pot roast, pork chops and more along with all the fixings and sides you could imagine. ... Breakfast is also served from 7-10:30 a.m. each race morning.

Other divisions: UMP modifieds, pure stocks and box stocks.
Schedule: Pits open at noon, hot laps at 4 p.m., racing at 5 p.m.

Notes: The track is part of Speedweeks with Super Late Model racing for the first time since 1998 when Alabama’s Greg Skinner and Missouri’s Leslie Essary won Northern Allstars Late Model Series events promoted by Terry Eaglin. ... The track is now owned and operated by Phil and Liz Guadagno. ... “The racetrack is our getaway on a weekend,” Phil said. ... One of the oldest tracks in Florida, the first event was held in 1955. ... The track hosted six United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series events (a Limited Late Model tour) in 2012. ... Location: Gibsonton, Fla. (south of Tampa just east of U.S. 41 on Burts Road)
Dates: Feb. 10-16 (Sunday-Saturday)

Schedule: Practice on Sunday; complete programs other six nights with hot laps at 6 p.m. Time trials, heat races, consolation races, Strawberry Dash and features each night.

Late Model sanctions: UMP DIRTcar (Feb. 18-20) and World of Outlaws Late Model Series (Feb. 21-23)
Other divisions: UMP modifieds (Feb. 18-19) and big-block modifieds (Feb. 20-23)
Schedule: Complete programs for all divisions each night. UMP programs include group time trials, six heats (three transfer), three consolation races (two transfer), last-chance race and main event. WoO programs include time trials, six staggered heats (three transfer), three consolations (two transfer) and main event.
Tickets: $35 general admission and reserved (Monday-Wednesday) and $39 general admission and reserved (Thursday-Saturday); three-day passes for Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday are $100. Online ticket purchase is available.
