Beard overtook race-long leader Jason Papich on the 23rd of 30 laps to earn $2,500 and his series-leading sixth career victory at his home track.
Key notes: Beard earned his 15th career Comp Cams Series triumph. … His previous wins at Old No. 1 came in 2007, twice in ’08, 2010 and ’13. … Polesitter Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., a two-time series winner at Old No. 1 (’07-’08), was third. … A single lap-two caution for Scott Crigler slowed the feature. ...
