LEBANON, Ore. (Sept. 20) — Tory Swayngim of Sodaville, Ore., overtook Bob Boyd of Albany, Ore., on the 19th lap and held off three-time and defending series champion Trevor Glaser of Tangent, Ore., at Willamette Speedway for his first Hoosier I-5 Challenge victory of the season.

Boyd started outside the front row in the 50-lapper and took control early, building a straightaway advantage after just four laps. A lap-14 caution bunched the field and Swayngim took the second spot from Cody Sell two laps later. Swayngim went to the low side and slipped under Boyd to take command on lap 19. Glaser followed suit and hounded Swayngim the last half of the race, but couldn't find a way past. Glaser finished second followed by 16th-starting Mike Miller of Springfield, Ore., Bob Boyd and his brother Randy Boyd.
